Cradle of Filth's fright-nights

Cradle of Filth have added an extra show to their UK tour, due to massive demand. This is the band’s first UK shows since last year’s Download Festival appearance and the release of their critically acclaimed ‘Nymphetamine’ album.

The amended UK dates now read as follows:

12 April – Academy, Bristol
13 April - Pyramid Centre, Portsmouth
14 April - Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton
15 April - Academy, Manchester
16 April - Forum, London

Support is yet to be confirmed.

Tickets are on sale now from box offices and all usual online agents, priced £14 regionally and £16 in London.

Roadrunner Records will be releasing a special limited edition version of ‘Nymphetamine’ on 21 February. The deluxe package will feature new artwork, including a beautiful gold foil embossed digipak fold-out cover and an additional disc containing 6 extra tracks. These include 2 brand new tracks (‘Prey’ and ‘Soft White Throat’), a new version of the album’s title track (the ‘Deva-Fix version’) featuring the band’s backing vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva, plus covers of Ozzy’s ‘Mr Crowley’, Bathory’s ‘Bestial Lust’, and Cliff Richard’s 1976 hit, ‘Devil Woman’. ‘Devil Woman’ also features guest vocals by the inimitable King Diamond. Also included on the disc is the promo video for ‘Nymphetamine’ as an enhanced element.

Jamiroquai on the gas

Jamiroquai camp is gearing up to release the bands' sixth album. The album is almost complete and the final touches are being put to the last few tracks.

Jay and Sony are currently deciding upon what the first single will be, and there are currently a couple of great tracks being considered. Once a decision has been made the promo video will be shot and additional single tracks/remixes decided. Although no dates have been set, current plans indicate that the album is due to hit the streets sometime late Spring with the single shortly beforehand.

A world tour is in the planning stages and, hopefully, it will begin in the Summer. A number of Summer festivals is being considered as well but nothing has been confirmed yet. Stay tuned.

The band are currently rehearsing some of the new tracks in preparation for the upcoming tour and things are starting to get really exciting.

Regular visitors to the J.Talk message board will probably be aware that the site is in the process of being revised for the new single and album so prepare to see some new designs, a new forum and lots of exclusive news from the band coming to you real soon.

Caliban’s calibre

Following their hugely successful stint on the Machine Head tour in early December, German metalcore outfit, Caliban are set to support labelmates Hatebreed on their forthcoming UK tour. Also included with the UK run, are two debut Irish shows for the band in Cork and Dublin.

With their current album, ‘The Opposite From Within’ currently doing the business in-stores, the band are looking to redress the balance after technical problems forced them to cut their set short at the In Flames Xmas show at Hammersmith Apollo on 27 December.

Expect incendiary performances at the following venues:

05 March - Cockpit, Leeds
06 March – Corporation, Sheffield
07 March – Garage, Glasgow
08 March – Northumbria Uni, Newcastle
09 March – MDH, Manchester
10 March - Wheelan’s, Dublin
11 March - Nancy Spain’s, Cork
13 March - Mean Fiddler, London
14 March - Zodiac, Oxford
15 March - Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth

Tickets are on sale now – priced £10 regionally and £12.50 in London, subject to booking fee - from box offices and all usual agents, including www.aloud.com.
