Coldplay announce new UK shows

Coldplay: Chrimbo dates

Having recently toured Europe, Japan and the US (where they are in the middle of a 2 month leg of the tour) and following their sell-out UK and Ireland summer shows, Coldplay have announced they will be playing further UK dates this December in London, Manchester, Newcastle and Belfast.

Wed 14 Dec - Earls Court, London
Sun 18 Dec - Telewest Arena, Newcastle
Mon 19 Dec - Evening News Arena, Manchester
Wed 21 Dec - The Odessy Arena, Beflast

Once again members of coldplay.com will be entitled to purchase tickets 24 hours before they go on general sale.

Due to the limited number of tickets available for the pre-sale, we shall be operating a first come first serve policy. Tickets will be limited to 4 per person.

The shows in England will then go on general sale on Friday, 02 Sept. Tickets for the show in Belfast will be available on general sale from Friday, 09 Sept.

Garbage pull UK dates

Garbage have pulled their October UK tour. The dates, as well as shows in other European countries will now not take place, according to a statement on the bandís official website.

The statement reads: "It is with great regret that Garbage have decided to cancel their visit to France, Belgium and the UK in October."

"Having been constantly on the road since the beginning of March the band feel they have somewhat overextended themselves and have mutually decided to conclude their tour at the end of September in Australia."

"The band wish to extend their apologies to all Garbage fans in the territories involved and thank them profusely for their support. All tickets will of course be refunded."

The tour visits:

12 October - Apollo, Manchester
14 October - Arena, Cardiff
16 October - Guildhall, Portmousth
17 October - Hammersmith Apollo, London
20 October - NIA, Birmingham
22 October - Academy, Glasgow
23 October - Usher Hall, Edinburgh
