Otherwise, almost exactly a year ago, the American band Æon Spoke whispered its way into the U.K. Now they’re back, taking London by storm, with a hot new single, 'Emmanuel', that’s just been named “Record of the Week” in HITSHEET (Volume 69, Week of 13 June) and Hot Pick to Xfm’s playlist.
What a difference a year makes... And a featured spot in a hot new movie... 'Emmanuel' is the song highlighted at a crucial, dramatic moment in the remarkable new film, 'What the Bleep Do We Know?' starring Marlee Matlin and currently playing throughout the U.K. (www.thebleep.co.uk).
The film was a smash hit in the States last year, and the DVD – which includes a special full-length video of 'Emmanuel' featuring scenes from the film along with scenes of the band performing - has already sold a million units there.
Another newsworthy note: Chris Kringel, has just joined up with Paul and Sean (who all used to be in now defunct Cynic) to tour this new material in
both Europe and the US. It’s a smashing reunion at a smashing time in the band’s history.
HITSHEET says about 'Emmanuel': “Atmospheric and hypnotic… beautifully tender.”
Janice Long at BBC Radio 2 has said, “Beautiful and exquisite … destined for greatness.”
Paul Ross at London’s Radio 97.3 says, “Absolutely fantastic, haunting and lovely.”

06 July - Kabbalah Centre, London
07 July - On the Rocks (Sonic Mook), Shoreditch
